Death......

Old-fashioned I know, but I was always brought up to not speak ill of the dead.  Margaret Thatcher died today and of course lots of people are delighted, and not afraid to say so in the lowest terms...... a number of people have already, and quite honestly I would have hoped for, or dare I say expected a bit more reserve from them. I guess now it's just accepted that people can have their say, after all it's a "free country", but really nastiness isn't a very nice trait .... but it does give a(nother) insight into their character.

She was a strong leader, right or wrong....... I'm not sure what people think would have happened to our country if she'd not been around.... I've never heard a balanced argument, only hate and we all know where that gets us.......

Indeed. While not a fan of her policies, I really don't understand what the outpouring of vitriol is all about. No one's life is fundamentally changed now that a woman who has been living with physical and mental impairments for years, and out of political power for decades, is now dead.

What ever happened to just keeping your yob shut?!

I saw some people acting like assholes on Facebook.regarding her death
She WAS a strong leader..in a difficult period of British history...Not a Churchill in my view...but not insignificant either

Yes, people increasingly think it's OK to say whatever they like....that lynch-mob mentality always seems to take over as it's never far from the surface.

Politics is a minefield at the best of times !! ;-)
