Following on from my last post about the Geffrye Museum, I thought I would add a few images of "Objects of Desire" (for me!) that I saw there in display cabinets.
A Staffordshire pearlware tray with ten artichoke-shaped custard cups with covers dating from around 1780 - 1800, acquired from an auction recently for somewhere in the region of £2,300. Wonderful to see all ten lids have survived intact.

A lovely pair of "dust-collector" (LOL) Staffordshire (?) Candlesticks.........

A rather striking Art-Deco cut crystal vase............. and an imposing mahogany entrance........

And, out in the "real world", parked in a street behind the Museum............................
