Cake, Bond and Good-Byes
Nov. 21st, 2012 12:53 pmYesterday afternoon a little tea party was held at the Garden Museum for Jess, the museum manager, who is leaving (tomorrow). It will be sad to see her go, she has been there for over four years (all of my two and a half) and seems to have been a real king-pin in the organisation. Many of the full-time administrative staff have left for various reasons over the last few months and not been replaced, so it feels as if we'll be rudder-less for a while.........

Later I met up with Franco and we went for a fish & chip dinner at "Big Catch" followed by "Skyfall" at our local Odeon cinema........ which we thoroughly enjoyed, in spite of Franco being showered with fizzy drink just after we took our seat, and the seats, well, what can I say.... as F said "It's like being on a Ryanair flight" not particularly comfortable seats with minimal leg room (a couple of times I thought I might have to get out as my knees cramped).... there's no air-conditioning either, the building apparently being Grade 2 listed - not that you can tell from most of the interior - and it's the excise they give when it's hot in summer (not such a problem at this time of year ! LOL)

Great performances by everyone........ and great locations !!
